Dive Certification $350.00
For two students. $50 extra for a private class. Includes all rentals and 4 boat dives. Manuals are not included. You must have your own mask, fins, snorkel, and booties if using open-heel fins.
I will be offering Open-Water certification on a will-call basis. Below, find a typical schedule. This schedule is not etched in stone. If this schedule doesn't suit your needs, I'll work with you to figure out the best days and times. You do not have to complete the course in one week. You can drop out and drop back in at any time. Class days and times may change depending on my students' needs.
During the classroom sessions, we will discuss what you have learned in the manual, go over the Knowledge Reviews, and preview the pool session. You will learn the techniques of SCUBA diving, as well as safety and emergency procedures, during your confined water pool sessions. Finally you will show me what you have learned during your 4 Open Water checkout dives. Think of these as your "road test".
You have two options both of which include all curriculum materials (crew pack, student folder, logbook), all rental gear, classroom sessions, pool sessions, certification card, and 4 boat dives on the "Lady Go Diver"! You must have your own mask, snorkel, fins, weight belt and weights, since these are a matter of personal fit and comfort. I will be happy to assist you in choosing the right equipment for you during our first class session
Option 1 - eLearning online ($138) - Complete the PADI Open Water eLearning course online. You won't have to attend any classroom sessions but you must fill out this medical statement and questionnaire: (If you answer Yes to any of the questions, you must consult with a physician prior to participating in scuba diving. Give the entire form to the physician for his/her signature and bring it with you to the first pool session.) You will receive your own personal dive logbook and have unlimited access to the online manual (for learning and future reference). You will not need to purchase any other materials.
Option 2 - Traditional - You will receive the PADI Open Water manual (for learning and future reference) along with your personal dive logbook. The manual has Knowledge Reviews at the end of each chapter. We will discuss the chapters in class and take short quizzes after. You will also need to take a final exam.
Whichever option you choose, contact me for your crew pack at least a couple of days prior to the course.
